Welcome to Macs Traditional Shop. Our Family has been involved in History of the Past for around 30 years. We have been active in 18th Century re-enactment along with most aspects of Early Living History. In the Past we have been actively involved at Manskers Station, Ft. Osage, Ft. Des Chartre, the Grand Scout, March 1759 etc. At one time I was a Regional Director for the COHT, Trekking took me to many states in which I met many new friends. Me and one of my Sons participated at the first COHT National Gathering in Steelville, MO. I participated in the 2nd COHT National Gathering in the Rocky Mountains of Colorada (That was a Trek). The whole Family partook in the 3rd COHT National Gathering at Ceasar's Creek in Ohio. We have many fond Memories of our Travels. For years I was a member of the Iowa Longhunters and had my own group "The Hunters Moon". Health reasons slowed down our Travels but not our desire for the Past. My Wife (Cindy) and I both spin wool, flax, almost any fiber we can get our hands on. I really have a soft spot for Natural Dyes. We collect early wheels as well as using modern. I weave and Cindy loves quilting. We also maintain a small Rabbitry. Breeding Quality Show and Fiber French Angora's. I am always willing to teach Spinning, Weaving, Wool Combing, Carding, using a Wool Picker etc. I love going to a Fiber Show and pick out our own Raw Fleeces to bring home, wash and process to the finished product. On occasion I fire up the ol' Blacksmiths Forge when I feel the need. As well as our Wool products we carry spinning fiber for the spinner and fiber related tools. We build Tapelooms which are available on the Tapeloom page. We have 3 Children (Meagan, Josh & Damon) and at this point 3 Grandchildren and another on the way. Please take time to look at our products. We would love to hear from you if you have interest in anything we make. Thanks-Court & Cindy
